sarah palin winksOh, boy – this is going to be interesting. Sarah on Levi Johnston on Oprah on Monday? Hmmmm.  Well, if you’re going to sell books – and that’s what this Queen Tea Party cheerleader is trying to do – the former Alaska Governor’s book is “Sarah Palin: Going Rogue” - it’s all up for grabs. Time magazine’s Mark Halprin has some details about what’s inside the book and Palin’s book tour.  Here’s an excerpt:

Palin has told friends she stands ready to help candidates in the 2010 elections, despite her negligible influence in the Nov. 3 off-year showings — newly elected GOP governors in New Jersey and Virginia largely rejected her help, and her chosen candidate in a special election for a New York congressional race lost a seat that had been reliably Republican since the Civil War. Nevertheless, she exerts a particular sway on her party’s officeholders, goading them to avoid compromise with the President, making it more difficult for Obama to achieve his campaign pledge of bipartisanship in Washington. That’s the part of Palin’s rogue message her supporters love most of all.

Meanwhile the online conservative Townhall Magazine, featuring Orange County-based radio talk show personality Hugh Hewitt, is offering Palin’s book free with a subscription.

Variety Managing Editor Ted Johnson at wilshireandwashington says the TV interview on Monda may help Oprah as well:

Winfrey is mulling whether to continue with her afternoon talk show in its present form or to take it to her planned Oprah Winfrey Network. Her ratings are not what they used to be, perhaps in part because of her endorsement of Barack Obama, so the interview and all of the related interest may help her as much as it surely will add to the Palin publicity bonanza as she embarks on her book tour.
