Friends of longtime HIV/AIDS activist and political consultant Howard Jacobs were stunned by his sudden death on Nov. 11. Many attended a memorial service four days later at Congregation Kol Ami.

But many more friends and former co-workers were not able to make that memorial on such short notice. Therefore, Jacobs’ former boss, West Hollywood City Councilmember Jeff Prang, immediately started organizing another memorial – one to be held this Sunday, Dec. 6 from 3:00pm – 4:15pm at Fiesta Hall at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood.

Prang said the invited guest list of speakers includes Assemblymember Mike Feuer and Los Angeles City Councilmember Paul Koretz. They are also hoping to make provisions for friends to share their remembrances. There will be refreshments afterwards.

He was 45, with a birthday coming up.
